WHAT ARE eVISITS?
These are visits with your doctor that can be conducted over the computer safely and don’t require that you come into the office. They are only available for established patients (you must have visited me in my office at least once prior to using this service). They can be used for new or existing problems, which, in my opinion, don’t require face to face care. Examples are: follow up on cholesterol or thyroid problems, uncomplicated sinus or urinary tract infections. They are not suitable for severe issues such as problems breathing, bleeding, chest pain that you think might be a heart attack (Call 911 now for any of these issues!). Don’t use these visits for things that need to be seen today. Instead call or click here to make an on-line appointment. I’ll get to these visits usually within 24 hours, but might take up to 72 hours over weekends and holidays.
PAYMENT FOR VIRTUAL VISITS
Right now, your insurance company doesn’t pay for these visits, though many doctors across the country are working to change that. The charge for a virtual visit is $25, payable through secure credit card processing prior to starting the visit. If I review your virtual visit and think you should come in, I’ll apply your on-line payment to your co-pay.
HOW TO MAKE A VIRTUAL VISIT
1. After your payment has been received, please click on the link below and enter your identifying information and the problem that you wish to address in your virtual visit. You will then be directed to a questionnaire specific to your identified problem. You will be given the opportunity to review the output of the questionnaire and to add any other clarifying information at the end of the questionnaire. Lastly, you will need to enter your contact and pharmacy information.
2. You will then be contacted by Dr. Milner, usually via email but possibly via phone, as to treatment/ follow up suggestions for your medical issues. Return contact typically will occur within 24 hours (but possibly up to 72 hours over weekends and holidays).
NOTE: Your Complaint will not be processed until your payment has been recieved. Please call (715-483-5133) or visit our office with your credit card information prior to completing the eVisit.
